How far in advance should we book you?
For weddings and traditional ceremonies, most clients come to us twelve to eighteen months before the date, though we have delivered exceptional events with far less runway. Corporate galas and launches are often booked three to six months out. If your date is closer than that, get in touch anyway. We would rather tell you honestly what is and is not possible than have you wonder.
What is the difference between full planning, partial planning and on-the-day coordination?
Full planning starts from a blank page: concept, budget, venue, every vendor and the direction on the day, the one most clients choose. Partial planning steps into a plan already in motion, closes the gaps and carries it the rest of the way. On-the-day coordination takes over from the morning of the event, running the suppliers and cueing the schedule you built, so you are not the one checking your phone. Do you plan events outside the UK?
Every event on our books so far has been UK-based, wherever in the country you are celebrating. If your event has an international element, tell us about it in your enquiry and we will give you a straight answer on whether it is the right fit.
Do you only plan Western-style weddings, or do you handle traditional and cultural ceremonies too?
Traditional and cultural ceremonies, Nigerian, wider African and British, are where we do some of our most exacting work. Two families and two sets of protocol in one afternoon is a specialism, not an add-on, and we plan it with the same standard we hold for every event. More on this in About.
Do we need a venue before we contact you?
No. If you choose full planning, venue sourcing is part of it. If you already have a venue and vendors you love, tell us who they are in your enquiry. We are glad to work alongside people you have already chosen; partial planning exists for exactly this.
Can we bring our own photographer, caterer or other suppliers?
Yes. Our vendor network is there to fill gaps and raise the floor, not to replace people you already trust. Whoever is already booked, we brief them, hold them to the timeline and make sure they are working from the same plan as everyone else.
What does the free consultation actually involve?
A conversation, not a pitch: the occasion, your guests, your budget, and what you are picturing. We reply within 24 hours to arrange it. There is no obligation to continue past it, and no charge either way.
What size of event do you take on?
Anything from a thirty-cover private dinner to a full-room gala. The service scales with the occasion; the standard does not change. Browse examples of both in Our Events.
How does payment work?
Every proposal sets out its own payment stages clearly before you commit to anything. We will walk you through the schedule in your consultation, so there is nothing to guess at later.
